Bad news... Blue Cross/Blue Sheild does NOT reimburse for ninja surgeons. frown
A man can dream, can't he?

Good news:
So here's the scoop. An actual surgery date won't be set until the end of this week. Essentially it's teaming up the right doctors for the same bat day. I've put my two cents into the fold that I'd like surgery to be the week of November 15th, right after my visit to majestic Portland. This will allow for maximum fun.

The assumption is still that this tumor is of a benign nature, but that is still mearly an assumption. They really won't know anything about it until they get their hands all bloody up in my back. More then likely no permanent damage will occur. The biggest issue may be with some limited nerve use in my left leg. Paralysis is not possible (yay, I can walk).

Recovery time is once again unknown until they get me opened up. I could be laid up anywhere from one week to a month. Most of which depends on the type of tumor/growth, and what it's attached to and around.

The good news, I'm very cool with everything. Shit happens, what can anyone of us do. I'm just gonna keep on smilin' and being the Johnny you all know and love (love/hate, tomato/tomahto).

tonguemiao!!

Ninja surgeons are overrated anyway. The smoke they use to enter and leave the OR is supposed to be bad for you. I read it in a medical journal somewhere. Not to mention the nurses don't understand them all the time. Hey, Japanese is hard.

I am sure you will be fine. If you aren't worried your doctors must not be and if they aren't...they should know, right? Keep your head up and the next time I crumple on the ground from mass alcohol consumption I will try and think of you. smile
