While I was writing in someone's journal... it just hit me, my mother may have cancer.

She has a lump on her neck (near thyroid), and all tests so far have been inconclusive. Today she went in for five biopsies. The doctor told me that the chances of it being cancerous were aproximately 25%. However, the positive news would be that the full removal of the tumor and thyroid should take care of it, baring any spreading.

It just really hit me...
