I now have no facial piercings. NOT by choice. But because my manager at work forced me to remove them, after I've worked there for over a year, with my piercings in every day at work.
I was pretty pissed off about it because when I first got the job, part of my agreement was that I was allowed to keep my lip piercing in during work hours.
I had already retired both my lower lip piercings, but had my madonna pierced just over two weeks ago. And because my manager forced me to take it out, and wouldn't even let me wear a plastic retainer in it at work, it has already healed over today.
He's so fucking conservative... he's also complained to my editor about the way i dress, because i wear corduroy jeans and a black jacket most days. He expects me to dress more 'business-like'. I'm a fucking photographer, for gods sake. I never know where I'm going to be from one day to the next. I could be anywhere from a cow paddock to on the roof of a new supermarket building. It's completely impractical for me to wear high heels and skirts and stockings.
At least my editor backed me up on that one.
But the manager didn't just expect me to take out my madonna, he also wanted me to remove both helix piercings in my left ear, my tragus, and my tongue piercing. The only one i've taken out is my madonna. I almost never have anything to do with him so hopefully he won't really notice. The only reason he knew i had my madonna pierced was because he told someone who works downstairs with him to remove some piercing, and they said, 'but neisha has one, why can't i?'
Until then he didn't even realise i had it.

as for tattoos a mates a banker and they wear short sleave shirts... he said when he was hired that he has a skin condition and needs long leaves. not one person knows and it sounds great.
