Yesterday I found out that I'd been short-listed (top 200 out of thousands) for the Head-On Portraiture Prize. It's a photographic competition Australia wide. I decided early on this year I'd try and enter some competitions to see if my work was any good. Here's the shot I entered. The idea was based around a comment I saw Alana make on FB one day. She was deciding on whether to go to Southbank (it's a beach in the city) for a swim or not and her decision was not based on the weather but if she could deal with all the stares. It made me think about her "suit" of tattoos and being covered but also being naked.....



I'm happy to a certain degree with my work, but I know I have so much to learn, so much more equipment to get to do more kinds of shoots and so much more practice to get where I'd like to be. Patience, patience

While talking about shoots.....this Sunday is the shoot for my next BIG project. 30-40 tattooed girls, 4 make-up artists, a stylist and an assistant. It' going to be so much fun. But after spending the last 3 months organising it, I'm ready for it to be over.

The shoot will include VenillaRose, TechnoKitty, Scotty, Tez and ofcourse, Sinaminn! Now if I could just get them all to get their gear off....now THAT would be a SG set to see! The shoot will be fully clothed, but still sexy as, so watch out for some shots of that soon
