So last night I attended my second of ten classes in a course required to take the Massachusetts Real Estate Salesperson liscence exam. My business partner wanted me to take the course, presumably so I could handle our own sales.

The class is a freakin' joke. It is filled with the 35-65 set. I didn't realize that I hate people who are older than me just as much as I hate people who are younger than me.

I swear, they ask the stupidest questions. At least half of the three-hour session was spent dealing with a seemingly endless stream of ridiculous hypothetical situations brought up by my classmates. None of which will help me pass the exam.

I spent the other half trying to hear the teacher over the idiots talking in the back row. 38 god-damn years old and they are still talking in class like a pack of twittering teens. And it may be cliche to say so, but shut off your stupid cell phone with its stupid ring tone. How much brain power does it take to figure that out.

You know what else? Apparently it's not only 6 year olds who are allowed to practice the "If it's funny once, say it again" rule of comedy. When someone asked the teacher how many hours per week a real estate agent works, someone in the class said loudly "Ninety". All the stupid old people laughed and laughed. So you know what happened next? She said it again. Hooray! They laughed some more, and I swear I'm not making this up - she said it a third time! They laughed a little more and thankfully that was it. Of course, someone else tried to get in on the fun by saying "24/7". I think maybe that term was too "young" for the giggling ninnies, as it didn't garner as much of a response.

I guess I'm done. I was going to comment about the tattoo copying controversy, but I've already wasted too much time thinking about that baloney.

Thank you

P.S. Halloween...

No, thank you.

I think the Amina thread in Tattoo has been one of the more constructive and well-argued (if fractious) threads we've seen - possibly in the whole of SG. And I think, however differently people feel about the subject - you've more than played your part.

If only more threads managed to keep out the hysterical mob element the way that one (well, almost) did.

Ah, you took my nursery rhyme and raised me a Crash Test Dummies song... If this were poker, my good man, I would have folded.
