OK so I have my house back for a few days. I thought I was going to write a long piece about the state of affairs, but I don't feel like it. Suffice it to say, things have been surreal lately.
Some highlights:
-We got pulled over for having a tail light out the other night. I didn't have my liscense on me, but the State Cop didn't hassle me. He was cool about it. He was the first, last and only State Police Officer I have ever seen smile. Now I am confused. It's like when I met a frat boy who was a decent guy.
-One of my tenants is moving out. She has been here for 10 years. We have always had a good relationship, but the other day we had a big blowout over her security deposit. Now she has refused to pay rent & accused me of all kinds of things, despite the years of considerations & special treatment I have given her. It's a long story, but at the end of the day I can't believe she went out that way. I have an appointment with my lawyer next week.
-I went for a sitting with my tattoo guy yesterday. During part of the session we watched "Dead Alive", a terrible zombie movie by Peter Jackson. I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch LOTR the same way again.
There are a bunch of other stupid things happening these days, but I don't feel like writing anymore. Looking forward to upcoming visits with some friends...

I've forgotten how I learned about the word "victuals," but it may or may not have something to do with the use of "vittles" in the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for game boy. I could be wrong.
