Yesterday a small coven of lesbians paid me 45 dollars American to do the following things:

*Replace a kitchen faucet
*Repair a doorknob
*Hang a pegboard

They also got me a turkey sandwich.

Thank you

I'm dealing with a european art curator at mfa...he's a friend of my mother-in-law...she's been calling him and saying that she's lonely since her husband just died, and she really wants me to keep her company during the summer...total sympathy tactics, but she's a ruthless woman...the mfa guy said that if they don't have room for me this summer, I should still work as a volunteer so that by next summer, I will be high on the list...but yeah, I will definately get you the museum pass hook-up...I got an internship offer from a museum in duxbury, but I really love mfa, so I think I'd rather wait for an opening there...

Haha... I appreciate the offer. I actually know the perfect time for my revenge too... He's getting married next year. See, he used to be my friend, but he has this nasty habit of only having a friend if it will get him further along in life, once he's done with you, you turn into his worst enemy. The only problem is that if you do something to him, he'll just keep retaliating. Like this one time he poured orange soda all over my windshield in the middle of winter... froze instantly... and I did the same back. Well, he wouldn't let up untill I just broke and ended up having to pay to have his car cleaned. In any case.. I just talked to my dad and he said he'll help me set up if I want to move back there... which is good, because I thought I'd have to stay with my brother for a while, and he lives across the street from my ex-fiance.

Holy sweet jebus, Antonio's had the best Buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had. When I used to go out that way to pick up party tickets, I would always stop in and have a slice.

>At any rate, have a great time at the show. See if you can't get some pics of the King of Ska.

Well, you saw my review so you know I had a "mostly" good time that could have been better if the crowd wasn't so shitty. Maybe its just coincidence, but when I saw Toots a little while back the crowd was horrible as well. Not quite in the same way, but still very bad. What is it about great artists that bring out so many douche bags?

I brought my camera on the trip and then proceded to leave it in the hotel. Doh! Its for the best though because I never would have been able to take any pictures in that room ... way too crowded. Plus I don't have one of those little cameras so its kind of a pain to lug around anyway. I've always thought that camera phones were kind of dumb, but I really found myself wishing I had one.

>I put up a bit about Melt Banana on the music boards.

Your review intrigues me and I must check out this Melt Banana that you speak of. Any recommendations?

Don't sweat the grief. Just board Nazis giving people crap for not intimately familiar with every thread on the boards since the site's inception. Best part was that you actual knew about the other thread.

So I managed to get myself some Poison Ivy again. I should have known better. I was working in an area I knew to have the offending plant, but I figured that since nothing had bloomed yet I was safe. Not true!

It's funny, when I was a kid I rolled around in all manner of brush and bramble all summer long and never ran...

>The depression you speak of, is it like on December 26?

Sort of, but not quite. Its hard to explain. My graduate school career hasn't exactly gone according to plan. I know most don't, but mine was a particularly bad case. Suffice it to say that my advisor was/is a complete douche bag and has made my life miserable for quite some time now, leaving me rather bitter about the whole process. I guess the feeling I have is more of emptiness than depression, in the sense the I feel like I should have some strong feeling of accomplishment or happiness, but I don't feel much of anything apart from the bitterness. Everyone else around me is happy for me and very emotional (parents, gf, friends, people I hardly know), everyone but me. I talked with my old roommate who graduated from the same dept about a year ago and he said he felt the same way, so I guess its nothing unusual.

I think I've seen the Allstonians before, but it was LONG time ago. I remember enjoying them, but I don't have any of their stuff. I'll keep my eye out.

I got tickets for Desmond Dekker, so all I have left to do is get myself to Chicago tomorrow and I will be in heaven. Its about a six hour drive from here, but it will be well worth it!

Saturday is a possibility, I have plans with a friend in NoHo. Maybe she would like to go too.

I've never contracted poison ivy...

Wow, what a great weekend. My girlfriend and I got to see two of our favorite bands, the weather was beautiful and the Sox won 4 in a row! Hooray for good times. If you haven't heard from me in a while, it's because I was too busy having fun.

Thank you

> If you do go, you should post a review. That group needs more talk of good Ska artists.

So true. I am usually rather appalled by the groups that get discussed. That thread about people's favorite 3rd wave band ... yikes!

DD is really the only big old school ska guy that I haven't seen, which is why I really need to go ... otherwise I'll regret it forever. Its not like he comes around very often. I think he is only play handful of shows in the States, which sucks. And its not like these guys are going to be around much longer either.

what bands, man!!!

I should be working during the day, but maybe one evening or on the weekend...SUSHI...

Do you have friends who lend you stuff against your will? Stuff that you don't want or have no interest in? A guy I have been friends with for more than a decade keeps throwing CDs and DVDs at me that I don't want to have to listen to/watch just to report back on how I liked them.

We have fairly similar tastes in music,...

My girlfriend is such a sport. Whenever I ask her who would win between one toy robot and another, she always considers the issue and gives me a well thought out answer.

Last night, for example, I presented to her 2 Transformers. One turns into an A-10, a fighter jet designed to destroy tanks and the other into an anti-aircraft tank. As natural a matchup...

>So your new pic reveals more of your cranium. Can we expect a progression?

Slowly but surely.

I'm in the same situation with my girl. Circumstances just don't lend themselves to the whole wedding thing (graduating, moving, money, etc). We've thought about just going to city hall and making it official and then having a reception/party when the timing is better.

Man, today I saw the coolest thing at the landfill!

Now I had been to the town's dump a million times before, but I had never actually been IN the landfill. Usually, you just pull up into the entry area and drop off your trash and recycling. Today I had a bunch of leaves and unlike most of the time when they tell me to...

I think it was in east weymouth...do you know where alpha pizza is? it's about a mile down the street from alpha, which is also very good...whenever I get homesick, I talk about pizza incessantly...is it obvious?

nothing happens to you on the T because you look like you could kick a hobos ass...I unfortunetly look like the clueless blond girl that I am, which leads to almost daily harassment...

I'm very anxious to see pics of your pile of glass...

>It will be at the Middle East

Cool! I've been to the Middle East several times. Its where I caught that infamous Hepcat/Scofflaws show. I'll be staying with my friend who lives in Somerville so it's only about a 30 walk over there. There's a good chance I'll make it then.

>Ha ha! Don't sell yourself short. Even if I don't know one cell from another, it's still pretty fascinating.

I'm glad you think so! Honestly. I've lived with it for so long that I can't think of anything *less* interesting than my thesis. Haha!

Edited because I can't spell to save my life.
