I'm so happy, flattered, shocked and downright amazed right now: I just got a call from the magazine and they offered me the editor's position.
I have until close of business tomorrow to decide whether or not to take it, and I'm earmarking today and most of tomorrow to thinking over how I can logically do this while living 100ks away from the offices. I was told I can do most of the work from home and show up in person once in a while and I'm sure any inevitable slack caused by being physically absent could be picked up by other staffers.
My mind is spinning. This is the change I've been looking for.
