okay, so I never really got saint patty's day. people with even the slightest claim to Irish blood and even some of those without, reveling in irish pride.

now Saint Patrick isn't even Irish. I'm not too sure where he's from but
when he was in his teens he was captured by Irish raiders and became a slave in Ireland.

There is no reliable account of his work in Ireland. Legends include the stories that he drove snakes from Ireland, and that he described the Trinity by referring to the shamrock, and that he singlehandedly converted Ireland.



yesterday at work someone said saint partick's day was a pagan holiday.

so, some say he beat a drum to scare them away(which would only be cool if it was a full drum set, with eletric guitar accompinament and lasers, which it wasn't)
