That definitely sounds like it was the case. He probably meant well but didn't really understand.
But anyway, as for this time, I think as long as you all make sure it's just for "fun", it'll be great. Just don't worry too much about it, because that'll spoil it.
Maybe it would be a good idea next time to have her come over, and everyone just have a few drinks and ease your way into it. You could play strip poker, for example, or truth or dare, or something like that. I know it sounds juvenile but basically I'm saying that you should find a way to break the ice and become comfortable with one another. At that point the girls should start making out.
(okay, now I have my fantasy completely mapped out. Thank you for that. LOL)
