Ok, here's a quick update before I go into work, and I promise I'll get to all the comments when I get back biggrin

I made my first tips last night at work. Yay, me!! The trainer let us have between two and three tables, depending on which part of the section got sat and who had what...ect. I wound up having two tables. Had a sum total of 56 dollars in sales, and made 30% tips eeek On table left me three dollars on 31, the other table left me fifteen on 25. So, yeah. Not too shabby smile The manager was ringing in all my stuff and showing me how to do the report, "Ok, this is your total sales, enter in your tips here and it should come up with a percent... usually between ten and fifteen percent... Oh wow, you have thirty."
It was great smile
So now I'm saving the 15 I had after tip outs, and will be saving whatever I make today and Saturday, and maybe I'll have enough to pay a bill on Monday. If not, I'm buying something. Cuz money burns a hole REALLY quick in my pockets. It would probably just be food though, anything other than Ramen for the house.
Oh, that was what I was going to write down here, lol...
I went in yesterday, and one of the other girls I'm training with asked if I remembered to bring a bank. I said no, that I couldn't afford to. Then the trainer came in, and asked if we had a bank with us, I said no. She said, "Well, did you bring change? Like quarters, bunches of pennies...?" I said "Look, I really couldn't afford to bring a bank. My car is filled with gas paid by rounding up pennies. I've been eating Ramen the past three months. If I had twenty bucks laying around, it was gone months ago." She just kind of looked at me, with that 'wow' look on her face. Then, like three hours later, she asked if I had gone out and bought a holder for my employee card. So, me being the smart ass I am, "You're not feeling the RAMEN for the past three months, huh? Really, really, honest to God broke. Can't afford to bring a bank, can't afford to buy something to hold my card. I'll use my fingers to hold it, it'll be fine."
I will be SO glad when I don't have to say that any more. I hate feeling so broke that I can't afford to do basic things. Next week I'll be on myy own, so if you live near me, come eat biggrin If you don't live near me, fly.

Hey, thanks for the nice comment! You are so sweet. In fact, thanks for all of them. I appreciate having someone cheering me on! smile
Congrats on your new house!!!!!!!!!!!
And LOL to your first meal on plasticware. That sounds exactly like my move-in situation. We made a makeshift table by turning two rectangular cardboard boxes upside down, and then putting flattened boxes on top of them. We figured we'd keep it until we got real furniture. Wouldn't you know, it stayed there until we moved out!

And yes, Indian is VERY yummy. If you find an Indian restaurant near you, check it out sometime. The food looks a little scary the first time, since it's mostly stews and sauces and to the untrained eye it's ahrd to tell what's in 'em. (mostly it's chicken, vegetables, etc. and sometimes goat) But it's really really good. As long as you can handle the spiciness. But then again not all of it is spicy. The best way to get started is at a lunch buffet; you get to try a little bit of everything.
