so i've been to umteenth places looking for a part time gig...

best buys, fry's, trader joes, the mall....anything to supplement my income (you see, i have a job, but it is only part time, and even then, my boss is a flake with my hours changing my schedule at a whim), and everywhere I go they are not offering the pay they advertise in plain site in their store! (thank you very much fry's)...

and...remember the good ol days when you would walk in off the street, ask to see the manager, they'd give you an application, you filled it out and got an interview right then and their? Easy right?

well nowadays places like borders and Best Buy have ONLINE applications that you fill out ...which, for one, takes like two hours to fill out because of all the stupid questions they ask you over and over again (do you get mad easily? have you ever gotten mad at a costomer? what gets you angry? do you feel that certain people anger you more than others? are you angry now?)

so the idea is, you fill out the online application and then you let the manager, or whoever is in charge, know you filled out the application, because the chances of you gettting a same day interview is better...

well, that is assuming, one, you have a manager or supervisor you can flag down, and two...assuming the computer you are at trying to fill out the ridiculously long application doesn't suddenly crashes half way...

then there are the employers who put a job listing on monster or whatever, you figure it's close to you so you physically go to the place that is hiring and make it look like you are right off the street...you hit it off with the management, fill out the app...take the ridiculous math test and then they tell you they will definately call,

So you call, because you never leave such matters to the people hiring because they have other things to worry about and you get a hold of someone that promises they will call you in a couple of hours...couple of hours go by, no call, so you call again only to be told they are not going to hire now, they will hire people come the first of the new year, you see, because they changed their mind!!!! So why the hell did i spend an hour filling out an application if you guys were just going to change your minds!!??? And sure enough, as I got the call, I check my monster queu and see t hat the job was removed because the employer decided not to hire at this time....

Is the world taking CRAZY PILLS!!!!????


so here i am...no job no money...hope no one is expecting gifts from me this year...

anyways, had to vent
