season greetings to all,

this year has been a tumultuous one to say the least...

not just in my life, but in all of our lives...
we have family members and friends far away from us...some have passed away, some we no longer talk to due to some missunderstanding or betrayal...some are even over seas figthing wars when they should be here with us...
there is selfishness in this...because why would we want the dead to live again, when now they are at peace, and why would we want our soldiers to come back...when they are doing exactly what they have decided to do...to live and die for this great country of ours...so their families, and friends could have a Thanksgiving, or Chanukah, or christmas, or Ramadan...or any other...without fear of repression, or hate, or danger....
but i know the majority of you out there are like me...we don't give a shit about the rest of the world, not when it comes to our loved ones...we want them to be with us...we want them to laugh at the same jokes, getting drunk off the same drinking...seeing the eyes of our small loved ones opening their gifts...
but then right now, there will be some of you who will be reading this and calling me unpatriotic...calling me a commie or a terrorist sympathizer...and at the same moment...
there will be line of mothers coming to blows over some stupid holiday toy for their children...
right now men and women all over this country are being laid-off from thier jobs three weeks before christmas...
right at this moment, there will be some child becoming deathly ill because their parents weren't able to afford a much needed medicine because of a lack of insurance coverage...
and yet i'm the criminal?

how can you question my patriotism when all i have in the world , all I am able to do, all I am able to say, is because of this country? And my one selfish wish is that there be no war, no death, no hunger, and no stupitity?

i am sure if you thought about it for a sec...you'd realize it is what you want too....
