The weather is uncharacteristically cool today. It feels like the Fall out there. I love it!

I'm enjoying my first day of my four day weekend. The rat race goes on today with one less participant. Anyone else taking some time off?

TGIF!!! biggrin

I took an extremely rare sick day today from work. I'm not sick with a cold or anything. It's just that kinda general run down feeling...more psychological than anything else really. I just couldn't be a part of the rat race today. Do any of you ever get like this?

I have to admit to myself that I'm a human being from time to time.

I'm always like that...I hate the rat race, and try to avoid it if possible.

Enjoy your time off, I haven't had some really quality time off in awhile. though I'm the type that needs to step back frequently and relax away from everybody and everything. Good luck I'm wishing you well in your 'me' time.

Does anyone even fucking care about commenting on SG sets anymore? The new system has become quite impersonal.

I don't like it at all.

Sweet! biggrin So glad you got it. smile It's really something special, I think!

I don't remember now where I got all of the tracks. I remember that I found a web site that had the tracks available for download, and some of them were near-CD quality. But on that site, some of the tracks had digital skips or noise (as opposed to actual record skips/noise; weird that they would have digital problems!), so I had to go searching on SoulSeek for the others. I downloaded a bunch of different versions of each song until I found ones that had the best quality.

"Long Distance Winner" was released on Stevie Nicks's Enchanted box set, remastered and CD quality, so that song I just took off the box set. I hear that Lindsey Buckingham released "Stephanie" on a special limited-release CD, but I don't know much about it or where to get the CD, so that one is not remastered on the disc I sent. (A shame, too, because it's such a beautiful song.)

Anyway, that's the story of the tracks I used for the CD!

The "official reason" I've heard why Buckingham Nicks hasn't been re-released on CD is that they just have no record label for it. Stevie and Lindsey own the tracks jointly, as far as I know. (I can't remember if I mentioned that or not. blush ) I hope it gets a real re-release some day; it's too good to go unheard!

I would to give a special "Thank You" to each person that commented in my last journal. Both my friend and his wife are doing great! They're gonna be just fine.

In completely unrelated news, what in the hell is up with the whole Astronomy thing going on here lately? One day, I read that new planets have been discovered. Today, I read that Pluto...

Well, I can't blame people for being curious about outer space and planets and galaxies and all that. I'm sure there are still plenty of people working towards a better Earth. Maybe more than you think!
missmathilda:
Okay here are my recommendations, you've probably heard of most of them but just in case here they are:
1349, Marduk, Impaled Nazarine, Sodom, Abyssic hate, Carcass, Immortal, Xasthur, Disgorge, Impaled, Entombed, Bathory, Suffocation, Neurosis.
These are the probably some of the most popular black/death metal bands, and I see in your band listings you already like Behemouth and Emporer, so you'll most likely enjoy some of these too.
Hope this helps you, and I hope you like the Venom cd!!! wink

I got some rather sad news at work today. One of my co-workers (who is also a friend outside of work) called us at work today with news that his wife had a miscarriage last night. This would have been their second child. I feel very badly for them, but (in good news) they're both very intelligent and strong-willed people. I feel that they'll be...

Sorry to hear about your friend frown a miscarriage is always hard to deal with because it is for all practical purposes and especially for the family a death... but people don't expect others to mourn like they would had they lost a member of their family.... we have had quite a few miscarriages in our family.

and... that is a much higher number than I would have though.

wow thats awful Im so sorry~sapphire

It's been so nice this weekend. Other than meeting some family members for dinner last night, I literally haven't done a damn thing that could be called worthwhile. biggrin

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Okay, here's one more entry about work, and it's a good one. We had our first new team meeting today, and you could just feel the synergy between us all. Everyone's very pleased, and there was so much positive energy in the room. This is something that I haven't felt since I've been there, and we're talking two plus years. It means so much to...

Yeah....actually? I spent an hour sitting here today in the 'Spillin the Beans' thread, and actually tried (I did!) to admit and open up to info...But I couldn't!!

I am seriously considering it though since there is about 7 people on Earth that know anything about it....

And if you are looking to gain some knowledge...? I ALWAYS live by the rule:

"Those who Do not know, say, Yet those who know, Do not say"

...Not sayin you'll never hear anythinhg, Its just a good rule to live by, and also think about when collecting info....Some people are Too fuckin quick on a story....ya gotta watch for it. (Worse than Psi Vamps...seriously)

Like I said....I am thinkin bout it...wink
