First day of Summer
Well, according to my calendar, today is the first day of Summer. I'm certainly no expert on the Summer Solstice and its offical dates. I know it can occur on either June 20th or the 21st. Anyway, the days begin to get shorter from here until the Winter Solstice. I always enjoy this period for some reason...the impending shorter daylight is a good thing in my opinion. I've just never really identified with Daylight Savings Time. Don't get me wrong...I love the Sun as much as the Moon. I just like more of a balance between the two.
But there's just something about the nighttime......

But I do love summer. Summer nighttime is the best nighttime of the whole year, cause it's warm and balmy and all that good stuff. Damn, I wish I was at the beach right now!
