What an awesome weekend. My friend Britt came up to London on Friday and stayed all weekend. We went to the Future Funk Squad gig at Cargo Friday night which was kick ass. They definitely upped their game and the short, sharp and snappy timeslot made for a better performance, plus we were drinking pear cider which was expensive but great. Managed to get the...

Thats the craziest looking slide I've ever seen. I think I'd wait in line to say I went down it.

So last night's show was fan-bloody-tastic. Great show with a great cast, and I was especially surprised at how good Sheridan Smith was as Audrey. Damn good! Had the misfortune to spot Celebrity Big Brother non-celebs Ian "H from Steps" Watkins and Shilpa Shetty in the audience.

Had a few Sam Smiths' in the pub afterwards which got us nicely toasted for the journey home....

Just got home from seeing Little Shop Of Horrors. It was a bloody good show too!

Unfortunately (well not for us) we went to the pub for a few Sam Smiths' afterwards, so I'm a little more than half cut at the moment and will blog about the show when I'm in a better state.

Yay! I have my first SG friend, and I'm delighted that it's the wonderful Lizzi! love

I'm very much looking forward to this week. As is my preference to lead a varied life - fresh from seeing NIN at Brixton Academy last Wednesday, I will be this Wednesday off to see Little Shop Of Horrors - the stage show - at the Duke Of York...

48 hours and counting......

til I finally get to see another band I've always wanted to see but always missed out on.

Wednesday night I'm off to see NINE INCH NAILS at Brixton Academy with some friends.

Been a fan of theirs since the beginning (in fact I think Pretty Hate Machine is well in there in my top 10 albums of all time), and...

It was SUCH a great show. Trent had some troubles with his voice but it didn't spoil the show one iota.

I blogged about it on my music blog here if anyone wants to read it. I'll be writing another on here when I get 10 minutes spare.

Two blogs in one night? Surely not? My blogs are officially like London buses. wink

Just was so excited for two reasons, that I had to say something on there.

1. New Feist album on the way!
2. New Tori Amos album on the way, and forthcoming TOUR DATES!

I loved Feist's first album, and I'm one of the worlds biggest Tori fans, so my evening's...

Hmm how odd we happen to be *exactly* the same age. You didn't get to see Tori when she played in London on our birthday in 2005? wink

Tonight I saw Hot Fuzz.

GO SEE IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!

I laughed pretty much solidly for 2 hours. There's a few Shaun Of The Dead references in there (possibly one too many but I'll forgive them that), an outstanding cast (Nick Frost steals the show, and the cream of British comedy are in there), and Simon Pegg makes for a surprising action...

Tonight, I am excited. For two reasons.

Firstly, tomorrow I go to meet someone very legendary in the music industry who may want me to put on a regular event at his bar. Don't want to jinx it by saying too much too soon, but needless to say it's something I've wanted to do for ages, and if it comes off I'll be extremely happy!...
