The pressure's on. My first blog on SG.
I'm feeling like I have to make this first entry incredibly exciting, profound and mystic, when it'll more than likely end up being nothing more than a bunch of words put together in hopefully the correct order, but not really saying much.
I guess a blog is something you write to express your innermost thoughts, feelings, and desires - a place to get off your chest things that really piss you off in life, and generally rant and vent til you feel better. That may come from me in the future, but for now I'm not really feeling like ranting or venting all that much at all, so I'm going to start this off with saying a little about me and my life, for anyone that stumbles across my little section of this glorious website, and spares the time to read it.
I recently moved from the wilds of Somerset to the bustling metropolis of London to pursue a career in music. To date it's going pretty well okay. I'm working for an independent label and working on writing and producing my own music too. I also run a very small label of my own which I use as a vehicle to get my own music out there, and also that of my good friends. I'm a serious music-head and have a wide range of taste, although am struggling to find common ground with anyone on this site. I guess maybe I'm not as open-minded as I thought I was?
London - it's a crazy place and a totally different lifestyle to my relatively chilled existence in the Westcountry. Loving pretty much every minute of it. I'm living with close friends in a great part of the city in North London, and the last six months have flown by.
Marital status: Not. Single and looking. I know she's out there by is doing an excellent job of missing me on every possible occasion.
Love music and film (who doesn't). This weekend I watched The Lady In The Water, Reeker, and my favourite of the three: Severance, which really made up my mind (as if it needed making up) that British movies rock! If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. But then again, you hardly know me, so why would you take my recommendation? Take a chance!
I'm hoping that a) I'll keep up entries in this blog (as I already have two other blogs that I can't keep up to date), and b) that I'll make future entries more exciting, profound and thought-provoking.
If anyone's interested in reading more inane comments from me you can check out my other blogs:
Like Minded People is my music-only blog (where I write about music I like).
Myspace Blog where I promote things I do.
And if you're REALLY bored, check out my website: www.higheight.com
Hopefully there'll be another entry here this week, but I for one cannot vouch for it's entertainment value.
Neil
