I've decided to change my life's direction.
I am not feeling fulfilled or happy with going to college and studying journalism.
I'm not at all looking forward to going back this fall.
I'm dreading it like I'm dreading getting old.
It's not what I see myself doing.
I love writing but I don't see myself as a journalist.
Maybe as a freelance writer here and there and as a hobby.
I'm going to go to beauty school and do makeup.
I want to learn everything though. Hair, makeup, dyeing, the works.
But, I do plan on finishing this upcoming school year so that I can at least have my associates degree.
That way, if the whole beauty school thing doesn't work out, I can always pick up school again.
It's not like I'm just dropping out.
I'm just changing my life's direction as to what it is I want to do in the future.
I haven't told the parents yet because they won't support my decision.
So I'm going to tell them once I have my associates after this year. This way they see I am being responsible and taking initiative about this.
I want them to see I'm serious about this.
I'm going to start looking into schools, here in the NYC area. No more going away for me.
I'm sick of being away from home.
On another note....CRUEFEST was the shit!
Papa Roach rocked like none other. Man, do I love me Jacoby Shaddix!! He's the man.
And Motley Crue of course put on a hell of a show.
Kinda disappointed I wasn't close enough to the stage to be on the Titty cam..haha that would have been awesome.

FWIW get the four year degree it is worth having - it really is the modern HS diploma. Returning to school can be very hard especially if you have been out for four or five years. Also if mom & dad are paying, even if only a little, it is still better than doing it yourself and graduating with massive debt.
