can't sleep. it's freakin late. some bad energy i gotta ... do something with. trying to do the right thing w/ the ex, not turning out too well. here's the rub: can't make her talk and can't avoid seeing her. everyone goes through break-ups, but not everyone tries to stay friends. this one has really thrown me for a loop. don't know if it's worth the effort any more. feel like the count has been 3-2 for a couple a weeks, hanging in there w/ the foul tip. tappin the dirt off the cleats and stepping back into the batter's box for another pitch. what did cerano say? "straight ball, i hit very much. curve ball, bat is afraid." if she can't be honest w/ me, wants to avoid talking, then it's nothing but uncomfortable situations between us and our friends are stuck choosing sides. have i already forgotten the steadfast mantra?
