i'm mad because my ipod broke, i don't know if i can be without it for at least 2 weeks. also, i don't want to have to pay for a new one if they decide not to honor my extended warranty. anyone else think it's pathetic that this is my first post of 2006?

I am on my third iPod. One was stolen, one was dropped. I have not gone 3 days without replacement. I'm addicted to music. 'Suppose that is a better addiction to have than most though.

So how'd you survive without it?

Copied from my post in the family guy group;

i watched another dvd, it worked fine, so then i watched the Stewie dvd again and it screwed up my dvd player again. what it does is, about 15 to 20 minutes into the movie, my remote control stops functioning. like i...

Yes, it appears so.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0312004/trivia

good site for some background on the new movie.

and i was really honored when the sushi chef asked me to get my knives for him... and took the time to sharpen each one... with lots of instruction. he sharpened em a second time for me too...

then and only then, did he allow me to try em on my own.

the stones will cost $$$ to purchase.... 1000 grit... 2000 grit... 6000 grit... and he even had a special 10,000 grit stone.

each of em $65-$100. frown

Tonight, i got off work an hour early and was able to make it to the local CD Trading store. i bought O Brother, Where Art Thou? the soundtrack ($9.95), Blood Money by Tom Waits ($11.95), and "The Spaghetti Incident? " by Guns N' Roses ($7.95). if anyone actually reads my journal, which i highly doubt, i'd like to know if they think this is...

can't wait for the were-rabbit movie to come out.

PS. I love whetstones... had some japanese sushi chefs (30 years in the business) show me how to use them... properly...

probably not as quick as the diamond stones... but mMMmm. tradition.

and what a great way to end a shift... after cleaning up...

zen-like even. wink

That did occur to me actually, but you'd think he would have said something, instead of just waving and leaving... I don't know.
