Okay there keeping my dad in for observation until the weekend and he is so full of drugs that he can't even see or move. My mum sat there for 20 minutes with him today and he didn't even know she was there because the medication is so strong. They say there doing that to lower his blood pressure. Filling a person so full of drugs that they don't know when someone is talking to them or even that someone is there is not how I would imagine you treat a person with high blood pressure. I would assume you put them somewhere quiet and try to remove any kind of stress so the body can regulate itself but apparently I'm wrong and you just pump the person full of drugs so when his family come all they see is there dad/husband/friend with his eyes rolled up into his head and drooling.

My dad is dying slowly and has been for the last 4 years. I thought I had gotten used to the idea. I had gotten used to having him need a extra hand here or there. I haven't got used to seeing him as a drooling vegetable though that's new to me.

I am so sorry that your dad is suffering like that, I hope they are able to make him feel better. I am afraid of the day when I lose my parents, it's a scary thought, but hopefully you have close family members to help you.
