Well I did it.
For the first time in twelve years, I am officially unemployed! (Okay so I can't really be unemployed as I am self-employed, but at the moment I don't have any company banner to run on my truck.)
I have to say it kinda freaks me out.
Fortunately we're okay for a few months if nothing shows up immediately. I do have a company to go talk to Tuesday morning that has shown interest in me in the past, but this time of year is really a bad time to be making a change in the oil patch. Things are pretty slow.
Last nite was by far the worst nite of my life as far as sleep goes.
But change is good (and even necessary). And as Imperfectly said, I haven't had anything good to say about the company I was with for a very long time. But like a bad relationship a person stays in, there is always comfort in knowing what you are in for, and fear in the unknown.
So depending on how things go Tuesday, I'll either tackle the whole house immediately, or the floors will be put on hold for a while.
