Well last nite was definitely a Trial of Patience. The second-most senior helper in the company consistently made rookie/brain-dead mistakes. But hey... He wasn't whiney at all.... Nope.... Instead he chose to give me some sob story about all this 'crap' that's going on in his life.

Now...

In my personal life, I am ALL about my friends (and my wife) and what's going on in their lives.... and I'm all ears for them.

BUT...

In my professional life (and everyone in the company knows it), I DON"T GIVE A DAMN!!! My reputation is riding on the job that my truck does. Don't give me your sob story, just do the job at hand! And if your personal life is such a wreck and you can't mentally function.... Don't come to work!!!!

I know I know, I'm being an asshole here... BUT..... You should all be very proud of me beacause although I really really REALLY wanted to say several things to him last nite... my response was as follows:

"Well, today's going to end soon, and tomorrow's another day"

Hmmm... this is harder than one would expect, this trying to be a nice guy thing!
