Will do the whole Christmas/New Year blog shortly and possibly a 2008 round up, which is easier now that I post on here and don't just have to rely on my shocking memory.
Going to see Pinklet's family tomorrow night for the weekend - will update properly once back. smile

Amazing blog of birthday awesomeness!
The 17th was my birfday and Pinklet had something big planned. What, I had no idea, but I had been told that we would be going away overnight.

So the time comes around and I've had the time booked off for a couple of months. Sure enough, as always happens, I have a big project on at work which I've...

Ah dammit. Wrote a blog then stupidly opened an image in the same tab. Lost blog. Rewriting what I can remember of blog:

Well my previous blog was crap. After reading Start_Today's blog I felt rather sheepish and mostly like a whiney turd with no real problems in life.

It's often difficult when things are shit to remember that you're probably more fortunate than...

I hear ya on the frustration. Though I find rejection hard to deal with, though rejection always inevitably leads to frustration.

I think the thing with frustration is that the way it lingers inside of you and leaves you in a state of limbo. Just a destructive feeling, ultimately.

I started to post a new blog about philosophy last night, seeing as it was philosophy day on the 20th. The BBC site had four philosophy questions and I was going to give my take on them. It lead to an interesting conversation with the Pinks and I was half way through a very long blog about it all when I decided I was too...

Aw, hope things at work get better for you. I hate work too at the moment too. Managers are cutting back on staff due the credit crunch bollocks which means the rest of us now have to work like we're 3 people. Tonight I was a waitress, half a manager and a barman.. and working with only one other waiter who speaks broken english and doesn't know how to make cocktails - meaning I have to do his drinks as well as mine.. as well as waitress... and managing the kitchen.. and seating people.. and, yeah.. i think you get the gist. Wow, lol... sorry, WELL just ranted all over your blog. Apologies smile Point being... I hope things get better for you.

So, my mind has been ablaze with many things of late, as is often the case.

You may say I'm a dreamer... but I'm not the only one.

If only being a dreamer was enough John, but these days, we need more than that.

Over the course of the weekend I have thought of bare bones premises for 3 short stories and a one page...

We want a seamless transition so we're not without internet. It'll harm my long distance relationship to be offline for a few days. Apparently I'm to receive a mac code within 72 hours. I doubt it, though. I'll end up calling all over again. Bastards.

Im quite a big fan of cider, the hot girls were merely an added bonus.
Maybe ill create somekind of competition to name my puppet.

There was something really apt about Barak Obama winning the presidency on the date that those of us in the UK celebrate the stopping of an attempt to blow up parliment.

I believe that Guy Fawkes probably had the best intentions at heart - he wanted to change England for the better, but he went about it in the wrong way. Blowing something up has...

It is indeed. Chris is at a gig with Sam, but I think Kate and Dave would be up for it.

She's just turned 17 and is/was homeless until I took her in. I am now a fully-fledged support worker for the Accommodation Resource Centre which is part of a charity in these parts who try and get homes for young people who have been made homeless through no fault of their own. So yeah, she does need to grow up, but having not had any boundaries in her life before, this is all new and a very steep learning curve for her.

I'm sure this hurdle is the first of many!

We're having a big meeting with Social Services, her college and God knows who else on Tuesday so hopefully I'll get a lot more insight and support from those people as they've had dealings with her for years.

I've told her straight today, they are her rats and she needs to look after them; they rely on her. Of course I won't see them starve but I'm also not going to get into a habit of doing it all for her!

I'm looking forward to this weekend since last Saturday I spent the whole day helping out with PAT testing on all the electrical sockets. Because I'm an electrician. No, wait - I'm an IT guy. whatever

Apparently I had to be there for turning the servers off and on again, which we didn't get around to, so I have to go back in for another fun...

'Chaos defrost' hahahaha!

Aye, some folk that work in offices beg belief, but at least we get the last laugh in that we realise how utterly bored they must be to bitch behind people's back/talk shit like that! Usually, they're the type of person who thinks the height of cultural experience means watching the Eastenders omnibus.

Can i come next time? I so miss you guys!! xx

I feel like fried shit.
Currently doing round 2 with a crappy little head cold, Round one was a brief scrap about a week ago in which I emerged the victor, only this time it's brought its friend, the tickly throat, which must be cleared every few seconds. This, combined with a sudden chronic bout of IBS means I have been up since about 2am...

Quick, naughty-at-work bloggery.

I'll have to do a recent picture round up when I get home as I don't have access to my pics here, so check again later for imagery.

Last weekend we went to Ely to go to a wedding of a friend of Pinklet's, which was really good fun. As usual, Zoe's dad broke out the whiskey when we got there...
