FIrstly, my apologies go to Dokurochan, as I left a comment on her set with an attempt at constructive criticism only to be reminded by the lady herself that the comments would have been welcomed while the set was in member review, but it was now live. My best intentions foiled by my crappy timing and apparently limited grasp of how the site works... doh!
Sorry!
It's been a busy week at work. In addition to looking after all IT for the company, I've been given some extra responsibilities - I now produce certain pages for the website, which I am enjoying, but has left me a bit stretched when the inevitable problems arise that I need to fix.
I also had an argument with a co-worker on Friday, which just stopped short of a slanging match. Basically I'd forgotten to tell her I'd downloaded a specific file and she ripped into me for it. It's pretty unlike me to get wound up that easily but she spoke to me as if I was a retard, instead of someone that had forgotten something due to being very busy. Well, perhaps unbeknown to her, that's one of my buttons - I hate being spoken down to. I suppose most people do, but there are particular reasons for me, which I won't bore you with here. Anyway she has a tendency to look down her nose at people, whether she realises it or not, which does nothing to endear a person to me. I told her she was out of line pretty plainly, but stopped short of attacking her personally.
Most people at work think of me as laid back - sometimes too laid back for their liking when their problems don't get fixed within 5 minutes. Sometimes there an element of truth in that and sometimes there's just other things I have to do. Anyway, most people at work have never seen me annoyed - usually if I get stressed I scowl but don't say anything and the argument was loud enough that not only did a couple of colleagues check if I was ok later on, but my boss also developed a sudden interest in how I was coping with things now that I had more of a workload...
What with moving out of my lovely private office into the bear pit with everyone else and now being treated like an idiot, I'm starting to feel a little bit like Milton from Office Space:
So, other than work I've been mostly shut off working on a set in photoshop for Savage, Machiko and Miyo. Hopefully it's looking good but I had a complete bout of paranoia earlier that it the sfx I've done on it just look wanky, so I'm going to send 2 versions back to the girls, one with effects, one without.
