Right, after last issue's 'Gushfest', (thanks to KellyMonster for coining the term. high five babe!) it's time to get back to normal, or rather, get back to abnormal.

I'm going to have a short whinge about work, but you know what? I'm going to spoiler it so you don't have to read it if you don't want to.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Ugh. Work. It's not something I enjoy doing at the best of times. Sometimes I really like my job, but having to get out of my bed at a prescribed time, drive 20 miles and then do stuff for 8 1/2 hours that I might not want to do before driving another 20 miles home to do it again the next day, is not my idea of fun. Yeah, I know, that's why they call it work... blah. Anyway I value my time more than anything so work really gets in the way of doing stuff I'd like to do.
So, to details... (To details!) {What are you doing?} (Sorry, I thought you were making a toast...) {Have you been drinking?} (A little bit, yeah.) {Can we get on now?} (Sure.)

So, at the moment I am, "The key member of personnel in the company" - i.e. I'm under shitloads of pressure. We're moving our wholesale dept to a new warehouse, out in the middle of nowhere, kind of like the retail dept did last summer. You actually have to drive through a farm to get to the new warehouse. Great idea.
Anyway, when we moved the retail dept last summer, I worked for 3 weeks without a day off and up to 12 hours a day. I was promised that this time I wouldn't be so involved and that our 3rd party IT support would handle the bulk of it. Then out of the blue I was asked to project manage all the IT & telecomms side of the move and now I'm having to give up my weekend to... you've guessed it, get involved with setting up the IT for the move. Wank. Not like I didn't see it coming, but still a large ball of wank. I WANT MY FUCKING WEEKEND DAMMIT!

The worst part is that I've been hampered by other people needing their computers to work up until the last minute, which means I can't move the servers or anything until they're done. I could have moved the whole lot this week, taking my time, but no, now I get to work the weekend and essentially get 1 day to set up the whole network. Joy.

This has all lead to lots of stress, which has lead to my IBS kicking me around most days and also not being able to get to sleep before 3am any night in the last two weeks. The dark circles under my eyes make me look like a character from a Japanese horror movie. Cool in a film but in real life you just look like shit.

On the plus side, I should be getting a new tattoo tomorrow! Yay! I'm getting an Alexisonfire lyric which should run down my right forearm - if the artist advises me otherwise, I might get it somewhere else. Totally excited.

I was going to go see Pinklet tonight, but I may have to work late tonight too. Boo. I will try to get over there though as I could do with a drink and a hug.
