Been off work today. Yay!
Day has gone really fast, especially considering I was up at 9.30 after a very restless night's sleep. Boo!
I got paid today and it included my bonus! Yay!
But I'm probably going to have to spend it all on getting my car fixed or buying another one. Boo!
Right, that's enough of that.
It's been an ok day - I've been a bit antsy. Kind of wandering around the house bored, not sure what I want to do. I want to do something but apparently my brain isn't letting me in on what it is, so I did what I usually do in those situations and went for a walk. I paid some birthday money into the bank, which means my balance is probably the healthiest it's been in at least 6 months, if not ever. Yay! (Oi!, we said that's enough of that!) {Sorry} (Ok, but try to keep a lid on things will you?)
So I figured I *might* be able to scrape together a grand in order to buy another car if it turns out that the best thing for this one is to take it out into a field and shoot it.
This comes with 2 problems:
1. I really like this car. It looks nice, it goes well, (when it's going,) and it's pretty much all I need in a car.
2. Although I've spend more on fixing it in the last year already than I paid for it, if it costs less than say, 500 to fix this time, I could fix it and have some spare money.
Add to this the fact that I've already been daydreaming about what to do with the extra money, (Tattoos, holiday, Xbox 360...) and you have a path chosen for you. The only problem is if it costs more than that I'm going to have to throw in the towel and admit defeat.
I bought myself this today:

and I'm having trouble getting it to install. Steam keeps crapping out. Ugh, what happened to, 'buy game, install game, play game.'? I had trouble with EP 1 before - it kept crashing so I'm updating my graphics drivers too. Anyway, if it all gets sorted I will have 5 Half Life 2 games to play and I've only ever played Ep 1 before. Lovely.
Going out tonight for drinks with the work crew and hopefully an old friend who now lives in Bristol and who I have been trying to hook up with for a drink for months. She's a bit of a bailer. She never used to be, so I'm wondering if the new BF has something to do with it. We've been out for a couple of drinks and he struck me as the jealous type. Perhaps when he sees the rampant forest that my beard now is, he'll decide I've 'done got myself looking mighty hideous-like,' and won't be as worried. I wouldn't mind but he's a good looking guy with a good job, pots of cash and a fucking lotus. Not much of a challenge from me really. I'm underpaid, overworked and my lovely little Megane coupe is buggered. Ha!
Then my best friend and her husband are coming to visit tomorrow! Yay! (Right, that's it! Don't say we didn't warn you! Jeff, grab his legs. Right sunshine, pick a window - you're leaving!) *Smash!* {AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaarrrrgh.} *Thud.*
Ahem. Anyway, they're coming down which is great because I haven't seen them in ages and they're stopping overnight. We may head over to Bath on Sunday, (depending on what they want to do because, let's face it, they'll be driving...) and meet up with the lovely Pinklet for a drink.
For those of you reading this blog in black and white - today's colour is cerise.
