Well I've had the best couple of days I can remember for a long time.
H came down on Wed evening and got a bit lost, which isn't difficult in Bristol - it can be pretty hard to navigate if you don't know your way around. I skated out to meet her as she wasn't that far and gave directions for where I would meet her. Unfortunately she bombed straight past me, so I followed on my board in hot pursuit, hoping she would see me in her rear view. She didn't but fortunately she stopped not far from my house.
Once we'd met up and got home it was obvious she was as excited to see me as I was her, but we were both that little bit nervous. Sure we've talked a lot on the phone and online, and sure, some of that had been pretty flirty, but here we were face to face and neither of us were quite sure what to do next.
To break the ice a little I decided we should go out for dinner and we had a great veggie mezze each at a little place around the corner.
We listened to music and talked for a while when we got back and she got to meet both my housemates. The rest of the evening took care of itself and Thurs we got up late and headed into town to meet a friend of mine. Then we had a walk around Bristol, holding hands and talking and just generally enjoyin gbeing together at last. We did have a bit of a 'whoops' moment when we saw the assistant manager of our bristol store ahead of us on the street, (H was supposed to be ill that day,) but we don't think he spotted us.
She left about 5pm in order to get back for work the next day and I went with her to the bottom of the M32 to make sure she got through town ok. We said our goodbyes (only for a week,) at the petrol station and I skated home.
We're 'officially' going out and I'm totally smitten - can't wait to see her again.
