So, the weekend huh? It was a large one.
Friday night I stayed in with a couple of beers and watched a film S lent me, then started watching Final Destination on tv, only to wake up on the sofa at 2.30am when E texted me to ask if I was awake. I replied that I was now, and had been napping on the sofa. I knew she'd send something back so I stayed awake and she then proceeded to ring me to apologise for waking me up! She was pretty hammered and had been out all night and was funny on the phone.
Saturday was the day of the St. Pauls carnival which was great once we finally got there - I spoke to E in the morning and we arranged to go out, only E fell asleep. So I went round and waited while she had a shower and got ready. Then we walked into town and she decided she needed to buy some waterproofs to cycle to work in this week so we had a look around a few shops and then eventually made our way over to the carnival.
I took a four pack of beer and a few pre rolled single skin spliffs. We sat in a square listening to the music and generally soaking up the atmosphere. E was feeling a little rough so she laid out with her head in my lap while I stroked her head. It's nice to have that kind of friendship where you can do almost couple-y things while just being friends. Soon enough, S arrived with a bottle of pre-mixed gin and the party was on.
We had a walk around - the carnival went on for street after street, with food stalls every block or so and lots of houses with sounds systems set up blaring out reggae. E is a big reggae fan so she was in her element.
We headed back to S's as she doesn't live far from there, so we could all pee (in turn, not at the same time.).
We sat in S's bedroom for a few minutes and E decided she wanted a back massage, only this time she didn't want my gentle touch so she laid face down on S's bed with me sat on her arse digging my thumbs into her back which made her moan in naughty-sounding ways. S got a turn after her then she massaged me. All good fun between friends.
We went back out, drank a lot more and generally had a good time. We met up with a couple of E's friends who were both really good guys and suddenly it was night time and we were still drinking strong.
We hung out for a while and then headed over to a pub. E & the two guys went in & S and I stayed outside talking. She told me that she'd been thinking about me a lot and that if she hadn't got a BF, I'd be in trouble... Talking turned into a little kissing and after sitting out there for a while and having not seen E, we decided to head off, S having offered her place for me to crash at that night. We figured E was ok, being with the two guys, even though I was supposed to have walked back with her.
So I stayed over at S's and one thing lead to another and we ended up sleeping together. I felt a bad - S has a BF I'm not usually the sort of guy that sleeps with girls who are in relationships but anyway it happened. Next morning was a tiny bit awkward as we were both hung over for a start. Anyway it went ok and there was a little more kissing and cuddling before I left and walked home.
The streets around there looked like a war zone, if the war had been fought with rubbish. It's going to take them a week to clean up.
I got back and texted E to make sure she got back safe and she sent one back saying, "you left me..." I rang and apologised and explained that we hadn't seen her. Apparently the other two guys had left and she'd ended up going back to some guy's place to sleep after pulling him, but decided she didn't want a one night stand so just slept there.
She invited me over to finish eating the lasagne from the other night and we watched a dvd in her room, whilst cuddled up and... you guessed it, I stroked her head for her again.
I'm glad I know where I stand with E, I like our friendship and as much as I find her attractive physically, that's all there is to it.
I emailed S this morning with the usual sort of rubbish we chat about, mostly just to let her know that things were ok between us and didn't have to be awkward. We got talking about it and everything seems to be cool now.
