I really do take life for granted.

Last night, I got really fucked up AGAIN. I don't think I have had a drink since Halloween... maybe? I don't know, all I know is that moving out here has fucked with the wiring of my nervous system, and something terrible expresses itself when i get wrecked. Oh well.

At some point today, I came back to the realization that [this part of] California isn't as bad as I have perceived it to be. My eyes are open and it looks nice out. Now all I have to do is avoid the hippies, hoes, and boring people that make me think this place is hell on earth.

Heh...I mix everything. But generally the horrid DJ's tend to try and do TOO Much. You need to let the music do the work...and then, at the beggining/end of the song is when the work comes in for the DJ...and even then, that only lasts about 10 seconds in a four to eight minute segment. And generally, even in an all hip hop/house club...it's good to maybe throw in one off the wall track.

Believe it or not, it's always fun to mix rock ballads in with rap or house music. There's a few good ones online that you can download. One decent one is "Without Me"...Eminems Lyrics with the tunage of "With or Without You" by U2. I think it's called, "Without Mix" or something. It's nothing you can dance to though...just fun to listen to.

At least you know what not to do now.. i am in the same boat with you on the drinking Im taking a 2 week sobatical (Sp?) from drinking I think my liver has been pickled beyond repair.
