Suicide roundup?
Two people I know rather well have tried to kill themselves this week, no lie. They failed miserably, which in this case is a good thing of course, one of them taking a whole bottle of Tylenol PM which I'm not sure I would consider a lethal substance even in the throes of depression, but they pumped his stomach so I guess it would do the job without intervention.
I was super-dooper-depressed once, about 4 years ago, and I remember contemplating suicide and dismissing it because I didn't want to end up someone who attempted suicide, if you know what I mean. I couldn't think of any for-sure way to get the job done other than jumping off a realllllllly tall building, which seemed to me like a bad way to go. In the end I suppose I was never suicidal at all, but it's certainly bad when one contemplates it in the first place.
In any event, better times are here and have been here for a while, and I hope they come to those I care about.
