Argh this this pisses me off to no end. It's complete and utter hypocricy. "Protecting the Sanctity of Marriage" is a joke. Any logical person who heard that phrase and what it meant, and was at ALL familiar with American culture... would be laughing at it, bewildered at who the hell came up with it. You wanna protect the sanctity of marriage!? CANCEL the show "WHO WANTS TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE?" for one thing! Ban parents from promising their children to marry someone they barely know. Figure out ways to ensure that a couple getting married really loves each other, and is not just doing it for money, or to get someone a green card, or for power, or fame, or to become socially acceptable. Make a law protecting women from being raped by their husbands (its completely legal). You want a Sacred Marriage??? Gay couples have some of the most powerful, loving, loyal, fiercy-devoted relationships I have ever seen. Protecting the Sanctity of marriage (limiting marriage to one man and one woman) is fucking ridiculous and disgusting and I can't believe how many people have not put this shit together.
