Today at work I locked myself out of my office with the keys to the room inside. After a few minutes of unsuccessfully trying to pick open the lock, I decided I had to go into the room next to it to get in there. No, this isn't like The Matrix in that I had to climb out a window to get around, this was a "through the ceiling" job. I grabbed the only usable stepladder, placed it against the cabinet, and proceeded to step up.
Removing the foam ceiling piece, I moved that and some of the wiring out of the way and got up to and straddled the wall. Now the only problem by this point is how do I get down? I knocked down the ceiling piece from the room I got into and looked in. Luckily, the ceiling piece I knocked down was just over the large wooden display stand, so I grabbed hold of the wall and a hanging pipe and lowered myself in and onto the display. The second I realized it was solid, I let go of the wall and pipe, and jumped down to unlock the door.
You know what's the crazy thing about this? I'm somewhat afraid of heights but only if I'm not wearing climbing gear and I pulled this off.
