I took a Civil Service exam today for a city job I really want. I think I did well. I really need this. having been unemployed for four months sucks. It's not for lack of trying though. I've been told I was a desirable candidate for a few jobs only to get passed over. I'm wondering if that thing my lawyer told me never to mention is popping up on my background check. It can't show as a conviction. I'm going to call my Dad today and have him run my background just in case. Other than that, this city job should be in the bag since it's a job I've already held and friends of mine work in the department at much higher positions now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
