I bring this up not to bring people down, but to remind everyone of the titans of culture we lost. Maybe they touched your heart as the true hero of the Harry Potter films. Maybe they shaped your soul with genre bending music. Maybe they were young and unlucky, but full of potential.
I also bring this up so that you can know what is at stake. Free thinkers, rule breakers, and masterful poets help shape society. When the dust settles, culture is all we have. Let's all do our best to make sure that our culture is something to be proud of, even generations from now.
