i dremt i was in a yellow lit hall in a rundown residential hotel once. No windows anywhere. Dizzy Gillespie sat on his bed in a tiny little room; his fingers wrapped around his horn and seemed to keep wrapping like a constricting snake, as he played a meloncholy tune that seemed to float in the yellow light.

I met a girl who was in such distress, she always seemed to be running away. I tried to help her, but a dark presence lurking around seemed to be drawing her into dark conforts. I managed to take her away. She openned up to my and I loved her. Big beautiful white wings sprouted from her.
I'm distracted by the building, so many strange rooms with odd beings; I can't tell if some are people or not. A grotesque, but such sweet, pathetic, humanity to them. They suffered, making them good deep down.

I remember the girl, but she's gone. I run and catch her as she's floating down the stairs. Her beautiful wings are dying. The feathers are decomposing and falling out to revealing leathery black wings with a shiny, obsidian black skeleton holding it together. her pale features turn dark and sad, almost onthe verge of crying. She disappeares out the door.

Next door is a dark concert hall, much like the one in Mulholand Drive. It's empty and dead silent. the girl is in a ball, arms around her legs, n the stage. the place is silent and still. A man waks out to her. He is handsome and dignified. He takes her hand and she stands, oddly in good spirit. She smiles with a selfish amuzement that compliments the man with the sinister air. He waves his hand over the empty seats.

Music begins to play violently and a band starts to appear in the band stand. It's swing, bouncy and joyfull, but evil at the same time. It gets louder and louder. I'm in a balcony on the left side of the stage. A soft but strong light illuminates me and the balcony. the man gives me a warm sincere smile. She looks at me and becomes depressed again. The man's features become rigid and angular. He has the fury of hell in his eyes. The music becomes a symphony of blaring instruments, with the power of a Beethoven finale. The music of Hades.

She runs up to me and I hold her in my arms as she cries. I then carry out the door and the dream ends.

i thought about that very same idea when i was thinking about themes to send in with my application...and the official word is no men. since i'm black and my husband is white i thought it would make a cool set if i was photographed draped over certain parts of his body to showcase the contrast..but no luck...no guys allowed even if you don't show their faces. at least that was the rule before they might have changed it. if they do let me know.
