actually, he got bit in the ear by something and it became infected. he still has a hole there. i think it was from another cat, but my neighbor had seen him catch a huge rat the week before from which he had another infected bite on his chest. he also has one of those notches in his ear right next to the hole from sometime before he found me. he's just a cuddly sweetheart most of the time. I rotate pictures of the kids in once in a while, so i'll have him up again. my ex's cat is on my profile now. i'm catsitting her while her mom is home for the holidays.
could it be depression? it's that time of year. holiday stress and fanfare sort of makes me want to withdraw.
definitely don't stress about the photos. Bijou's set is very grainy, but very good. it's great to have you a part of the site. getting your set up is just a bonus (for you and us). there isn't anything you can do about it for now. and if they decline the set, it certainly won't be because you aren't cute. maybe come up with something new and submit another one later. others have.

I sent my photos the other day, but i fear they might be too grainy. I also never really wear make-up so my naturally oily skin is apparent and oh, i didnt really do my hair.

the graininess hasn't been bad in any of the other sets. what you lose in detail and sharpness is usually offset by the sort of atmosphere or feel that is added.

to answer your question about comments in charlotte's pix, there was a site change earlier this year. I believe it wiped out all of the existing comments and boards. Everyone girl and boy i've ever met from this site thinks she's a goddess.

Try lowering the picture quality a notch or two. Most programs default to the highest quality setting. A small increase is practically unnoticeable but makes a huge difference in file size.
