:-) I just wanted to have a little conversation about my sets!
The first set I have shot was with a guy I met off of model mayhem! We exchanged messages for awhile, and got together in his studio to shoot Bullet with Butterly Wings. This set theme was inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins song with the same name. I think this was a great experience, and it was the first time I had modeled again since I had put on weight. I like most women had an up and down relationship with my weight. I get a lot of messages about my weight loss, and it's something that I don't really see as a great accomplishment. I wasn't ashamed of my weight, and actually I had never been more confident as a thicker woman than I have been in my life. The consider the friends or lovers I made during this time were people who truly liked me and cared about me because of the person I was, not because I was a "standard" look or conventional size.
Last Flowers was the first set shot by my partner. We actually eloped in Las Vegas, and shot this set at the D. We used the petals that I had cut from my rose stems. We had an Addams Family themed wedding and I had a bouquet of stems, like Morticia.
S&M is actually the second set shot by my partner. We had a handful of tools on hand and wanted to do a kinkier theme. We enjoy shibari and thought maybe a few of you would too!
Summer's End is the third set also shot by my partner. This one was editted by my close friend @kewpie The response I had gotten from my other two sets was that they needed "post production" to enhance them. So she decided to lend a hand! My husband and I actually shot this the day after I had my first shoot with @milloux We used all the tips we had learned from her the day before, and followed the SG guidelines on how to shoot a cohesive set.
Golden was my first set shot with a staff photographer! I always told myself I would make it to Los Angeles and shoot a set with a staff photographer and it finally happened! This was a great experience, and I learned so much from @milloux She is the sweetest person and an amazing model. I learned so many great poses from her! It was really easy to spend the day with her, and we hung out in my messy den and ate cupcakes after!
Hokeo was actually shot after Sultry Sunday. @samnikii and I had a girl's weekend shooting with multiple photographers for our portfolios and for SG in San Diego! We both shot a set with @venom Sam shot hers at the beach, and I shot mine in our resort room at the Kona Kia. Venom is such a beautiful strong confident woman! She is such an inspiration. She put so much energy into our shoot, and I constantly use the advice she gave me every time I model. We're planning another shoot together and I can not wait to see this babe again. During this trip we also shot with my friend Romero, and met this awesome lady, Gidget (SDGidget on Instagram). We got to pose with a hot rod during this trip which was super neat! On our way back we stopped in at @adamsaperture 's house and we both shot with him as well.
Sultry Sunday was actually shot after Joy Ride! So if you went in order of how things were shot you would get a slightly different picture :P Sultry Sunday was shot by @sunshine in @sawa 's bed. Talk about a two for one! I got to meet two awesome babes in one day. I owe this day to @kekili because if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have known Sunshine would be in town and this once in a life time experience would have been lost forever! I truly have to say my ass has never looked better then in this set. I also learned that people really have a thing against dirty feet. I'm sorry. Sometimes life gets messy. Get over it!
Joy Ride was the second set I shot with @milloux and I hope it won't be the last! We shot this set out in the open off the road of Topanga Canyon. @ackley was a great asset in handling rowdy bicyclists. Both ladies were total troopers as we bared the insane heat on the hot September day we decided to take out my cadillac. I can't wait to get together with these babes again.
