Yesterday was a marathon of drinking and madness. 12 hours of relentless debauchery. The final hours are hazy at best. I don't know how I managed to stay on my feet. I can't really remember Juana's but I know I was there. Hopefully I didn't do anything overly disgraceful.

Now I feel haggard and emotionally drained...like I could just start bawling for no apparent reason....

"If I ever fall in love again, I'll be sure the lady is a friend..."

Remember that song? From Shai? I just bought it today on iTunes. I haven't heard it in years and it used to be my favorite song. It cracks me up to picture myself in high school listening to it. It's an awesome song.

So is this live recording of Pearl...

I have a confession to make: I think I'm somewhat of a hippy. It may be that I'm more of an ultraliberal, which tends to put one in league with the hippies. I mean, I don't slather on patchouli and listen to Yonder Mountain String Band...but I have before. My favorite bars are hippie-stoner bars. They feel like home to me. I almost never listen...

My upper lip tingles when I'm dehydrated. Just thought I'd share that.

Today was my first day of work at Pegleg's. It was surprisingly pleasant. I can't remember the last time I had a pleasant day at work. It's a nice change. The people who work there all seem pretty cool. All in all it seems to be a good scene. I'm looking forward to...

It's Friday and I'm in love with the world. love

I'm enjoying my downtime. Fuck all those places with all their noise. I'll dive into that madness again soon enough. In the meantime I think I'll just chillax.

I ran around this afternoon. I had to register with Pegleg's payroll company and I needed new sneakers for work. I got me a nifty (yet also ridiculous...

Last night I hung out with my favorite friends, PDash and DoubleD. A good time was had by all. We engaged in a little preparty and then we hit our establishment-of-choice, Helen Back. I was rockin' the double Glenlivet on the rocks. I've been on a bourbon kick of late, but I decided it was time to return to the ol' classics. I'm not a...

I LOVE HELEN BACK! Some frineds and I had gone to Destin for a little vacation about a year or so ago, and I found Helen Back in the phone book... and it sounded like a tiny lttle dive-type place (which are always the best), so I convinced everyone to give it a try. AND LO, IT WAS SOME SORT OF LADIES' NITE AND AS SUCH, LADIES PAID $5 TO DRINK BEER ALL NIGHT. SO MY LADIES AND I DRANK, AND IT WAS GOOD. GLORY UNTO ALL WHO PASS THROUGH HELEN BACK.

I also got a tshirt and a coozie. Next time I am 'round that way, let's bask in the glory together. Also, I can hold my liquor. Never fear. wink

Sometimes I think that Moshiach will come when everyone realizes that she/he is Moshiach.

Oh man...many thank-you's to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and even everybody who didn't. I'm in that good of a mood. Life is OK, ya know?

I got my tattoo today. My first. I was a total virgin. I figured the 30th was a worthy enough occasion to mark with some permanent ink. I'm excited. You should see it. I'd take a picture...

Ya know, for a slacker I have a hard time believing that I do enough. I usually find it difficult to get to sleep at night because my mind won't relax and my body still wants to do more. I need to start exercising or get involved in some kind of sport. I'm blessed with an excellent metabolism and decent athletic ability but I don't...

Given that it will take you a few days to answer Wendy's survey, I believe you best get down to it now so that I have something funny to read this coming weekend.

Mixing up different exercises is the only way I don't get bored. Once I realized that the only way I would stick to consistent exercise was to do a half dozen different types...so now I practice/teach yoga, take pilates classes, trail run, horseback ride, swim, swing dance and take weight lifting classes. I always wanted to learn tennis.
figmentation:
then start doing stuff!

Fine, fine. I'll play.

1. Seven things to do before I die (in no particular order)
fall in love, retire, learn a second language, write a book, testify before Congress, surf, see a huge winged beast silhouetted against a full moon

Oh, a double treat. Msi, tell me more about this "join in" thing. How long did it take you to answer these questions?

ignominy:
Not that you asked.....

1. Seven things to do before I die (in no particular order)
sunbathe nude in south france, own a home, pay my student loans, have an all-night (and into themorning) drunken gamble-fest in Las Vegas... including a posse of Elvises (Elvi?), visit the south pole, own a vacation home somewhere, and cultivate as complete a sense of autonomy as possible

2. Seven things I cannot do
pee standing up, "chug" a drink, make fudge, tolerate world of warcraft, look good in a hat, go more than 3 days without coffee, remember the capital of Uzbekistan

3. Seven things that attract me to Navarre Beach. (Erm, you mean Mobile?)
The general atmosphere, the history, location (close enough to the beach but without all the tourists/high gas prices), the department of communication at USA, Dr. Sue Walker, its distance from Montgomery, and cost of living

4. Seven things I say most often
"shit," "fuck," "goddamnit," "Who is the hiring manager?" "Well, what else am I gonna do?" "thesis crap," "super"

5. Seven books (or series) that I love
the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them by Al Franken, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway, The Ballad of the Sad Cafe by Carson McCullers, The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, and Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima.... basically a copy-paste of what's on my profile

6. Seven movies I watch over and over again (or would if I had time)
The Big Lebowski
Purple Rain (shut up)
Mean Girls
Before Sunrise
Blue Hawaii (shut up again)
It's a Wonderful Life
Run Lola Run

7. Seven people I want to join in, too.
grumpy, sleepy, happy, dopey, sneezy, bashful.... and gus? Is the last one gus? It's been a while since I caroused with midgets.
