Then end of the year is near. I hope those in the red states realize how powerless this country is becoming in our efforts at world dominance due to the humongous federal budget deficit. Just today it was reported that our contribution to the Asian tsunami would be a modest $35 million. That is the whole disaster budget for our contribution to world disaster relief.
Now, since we have no money and our budget is constricted by the overspending on a needless war in Iraq ($5 billion per month), we are held captive to this deficit and have no more resources, but to widen an already grossly unmanageble deficit.
I plead to those who care to heed my musings, that we must balance our budget and not further damage our future's hopes on today's shortsightendness of immediate gratification.
