Sometimes I feel like I live at my job. Even on my off days, I end up going in.

Today I felt pretty much sick and run down, so I decided to declare this Mary's Mental Health Day. This meant I skipped all my classes, which was a plus. I wanted to sleep in and get some rest, since I can't remember the last time I was able to do that. I planned to finish my homework and email everything to my professors whenever I finally woke up.

However, that didn't work out. I got a phone call from work asking if I could either come in for an hour or so to let one of the girls pick up her sick child from the daycare, or go pick the child up myself. I opted for the first, got myself ready, and went in to work on what had been my Mental Health/Off Day.

Whenever my co-worker got back, baby in tow, I went to get something from the mall for my boss for lunch. She has a tendency to get ill if she doesn't eat at her regular lunch time, and she's still in the process of getting well from something else... But when I got back, we had a shit ton of customers in the store. To add to that, the girl's child had shit all over herself and the stroller she was sitting in. Can we say it was crazy in the jewelry store today?

But I'm finally home again. Doesn't look like I'm going to get my school work caught up in the next couple of hours because the events of the day kinda killed my motivation for that. Oh well. It was an interesting day.

I used to do store work and we had days like that; well maybe not exactly like that, but we had days where I was there as a favor and half regretted being so nice, so maybe you can relate to that. It really takes things out of you; no one appreciate just how hard store work can really be.
