I sat awake last night in the dark and listened to a massive storm, letting my imagination run away with itself as lightning lit up my room in intervals, the wind whipped my curtains and the rain beat heavily against the side of the house. It reminded me of the old horror/murder/mystery movies where the door of some ancient stately home gets knocked on, heavily, in the midst of a great storm late one night. The butler wearing his nightshirt, nightcap and weilding a lantern opens one of the huge doors and in stumbles some poor wretch with a hidden past or running from some terrifying creature proclaiming "what ghastly weather for a gentleman to be stuck in."
