Ah university, possibly one of the most intimidating things I've attempted in my life. I'm doing a bachelor of education in secondary teaching, with english as my major and history as my secondary. I wanted to choose music as my secondary but timetable clashes make that impossible, sucks. Fear aside, I am looking forward to it though. The girl I mentioned in the previous blog is the only person I know that attends my uni, and because the guide book is quite vague she offered to help me enrol in all my courses. I'd be understating if I said it was a tad awkward, but there was one part of the evening where old familiarities crept back in for a brief moment. It was a confusing evening to say the least but ultimately productive to my education, hurrah. We weren't friends before we started dating and now we're not I have no basis with which to judge how I'm supposed to act around her, but stubbornly I guess we are both trying to salvage some sort of platonic relationship. For some reason that thought makes me feel a little better. Anyways I'm at work and my boss just gave me a cd by a band called the housemartins to listen to, describing it as early mod/punk rock and stating in no uncertain terms that if I lose or damage said cd he will "hunt me down and fucking kill me." Nice guy huh. My job has to get some sort of "cool" points for having a boss that gives me new music to listen to and then threatens my life in the same day.
