so my mom came and stayed with me for a good four full days. she left this morning at a little before seven. i was so tired that i didnt manage much of a goodbye.

we went to the arboretum up on campus on sunday and wandered around looking at some plants. there were some that looked like little rocks. i wanted one but they didnt sell them. oh well.

that night some of my friends came over and ate all of the delicious food my mom and i prepared. we made pierogies, apple sauce, poppy seed and onion rolls, a salad, an appetizer with basil, tomato, and goat cheese on sourdough as well as an excellent cheesecake-like dessert. so much good food. my friends all liked my mom and my mom liked my friends. she got drunk and started talking shit about my lazy older older brother to my friends. it was pretty funny.

for the most part my mom just cooked, cleaned up my apt (it was already clean but she somehow made it even cleaner), and bought me stuff. i asked if she would move in but she declined. my fridge is filled with the most food there has ever been in there. i am really happy she came. i love my mom.

now i am going to watch the first episode of the second season of the sopranos.
