Now what fun would it be to get to my journal and not even be able to read it? None, that's right. So Everone comment below to... Read More

40 days to go! DAMN! The time is flying by. Good thing. Those of you who know me know that I'm not a very patient person (well I can be if I really want to) And I guess I should just be glad that he is finally gonna come see me here instead of me visiting the east. What could have marked the end of the road for some pitchers actually became one of Smoltz's finest hours. It was Game 4 of the 1999 World Series, his team on the brink of elimination against the Yankees. Smoltz barely could stand the searing pain in his elbow, yet he kept the Braves in the game with seven masterful innings in an eventual 4-1 loss.
"It's the fourth game of the World Series and we're down three games to none," Mazzone said. "We were in the Yankee Stadium bullpen and I was watching him warm up. All of a sudden I notice he went back up on top, broke his split back out and went back to his overhand power game. He ended up striking out 11 in seven innings. Unfortunately, we lost the game, but he dominated."
"I basically laid it on the line that game went back to my old way of throwing, sucked up the pain and threw probably one of the best games I've ever thrown," Smoltz said. "That gave me hope that maybe in the offseason, if it calmed down, that maybe I could go back to throwing my old way."
43 days til Pip gets here.
I can't wait to see him. I want someone to cuddle with at night. I am so sick of the phone. I've never been a big fan of the phone (sorry to those of you who I never get to call ) And he thinks I'm actually gonna let him leave once he gets here HAHAHAHAHA! silly Pip.
I will have a visitor here in 62 days!!! I got the news while at work, and one of the other girls was in the office when I opened the e-mail. I was so excited (and dancing in my chair) that she was laughing at me.
