Happy New year everyone! angelfrost and I have been out of town. We took belated Honeymoon #1 this weekend to my old neighborhood, Asheville NC. It was fun. Unfortunalty we stayed at a hotel in Greeneville TN. My dad offered to let us use some of his hotel points to get our room for the weekend. He said that this was the closest to Asheville he couls get us, and that it was only about 40 miles away. Dad didn't do his research. It turned out to be about 70 miles away from Asheville, and it was an HOUR AND FOURTY minutes drive on a curvey little mountian road that you sould really only do about 20mph on! UGH! But we had a good time. I showed Angel the sites in downtown Asheville, we went to the Biltmore (which I had never been to even though I lived about 10 mintes away), got to spend some time with one of my best friends, did some antique shopping. Angel now believes me that Asheville has the most concentrated population of cute girls ANYWHERE!
So, that was our new year holiday. Now we are exhausted from the 5 hour drive home and the lack of sleep due to the hotel fire alarm going off at 6:50 this morning, and then again off and on for the rest of the morning until we couldn't take it anymore and checked out to go home.
And I will never go to Greeneville Tn, home of Andrew Johnson and neighboring town to the home of Davey Crocket, EVER again!
