If the structural issues were not disclosed by the seller and the seller's agent/broker, you have grounds for a lawsuit against them MDF! Did you guys receive a property disclosure prior to signing the earnest money agreement? If you can swing it, I'd see a real estate attorney....like uh pronto! The broker won't like being associated with that kind of noise and would be most likely to pony up some dough to make this go away.
