Took a tour of a pre-school this morning, which we're most likely going to enroll T in. A while back we toured the Montessori school in town. The Montessori is 3 times the cost. From what we saw, the teaching styles are very similar for her age group. The biggest difference is this one is a non-profit, run out of a small church. They don't have lots of new, expensive toys. Their classrooms aren't huge or fancy. But they didn't seem to care any less about the kids, or put any less effort into helping them learn. Isn't that really the goal of pre-school?
For those who hate to hear me whine, don't bother with what is under the spoiler.
