Fuck I'm exhausted. Left home 9am Friday, arrived home at 11pm tonight, and feel like I've been driving the entire time. HUGE "shout out" to trixxx, who parted with the last bit of her stash to make sure I was high during my trip. I don't think I could convince her husband to eat her pussy long enough to show just how awesome that was.
On to the details....
Friday was 12 hours on the road. The girls can only handle being in the car for 1.5 hours at a time, if we're driving during the day. We were smart and made notes of places that we stopped that were kid friendly - i.e. McDonald's in Liberty NY has a huge play area. First bit of drama hit crossing the border. Well, not actually crossing it, but getting to it. We hit the Niagra Falls crossing at 5:30pm. Who knew that trying to cross the border at rush hour on a Friday of a holiday weekend would be packed? Yup. Victims of bad timing lead to two screaming children, while it took us 45 minutes to go less than a mile for a 2 minute stop at the border. We were able to soothe T by breaking out the portable DVD player and popping in Baby Signing Time. Cross the border, stop to stretch our legs and change some diapers, then all is right again... for a bit anyway. About the 10 hour mark, things got ugly - the DVD player died. T was screaming, D was screaming, and then they were both screaming. Arrive in Kitchner, unload the car, put T to bed, a couple of shots of scotch and the day ended.
I forgot to mention that khoos lost her voice Thursday...
Saturday was mixed. It seems that Kitchner has a bit of the suck. Available medical care is a tad lacking in the area. khoos decided to go to the clinic to get her throat checked, and was there for 3 hours. They tried to give her almost $100 in prescriptions, which she managed to get them to change to a sample of one drug and a slightly different antibiotic, for a grand total of $30. That adventure delayed the awesome part of the day.
We finally got to trixxx's house around 4:30. I love trixxx and her family. She's a blast, her husband is an awesome guy, and her kids are such good kids. Both boys were completely smitten with T. It was adorable. Last time I was there, her daughter spent most of the time leering at me like I stabbed her kitten. This time she was all over me. I had her on one knee and T on the other. T definitely wasn't sure what the hell was going on because there is never competition for space on my lap. Unfortunately, we could only stay for a few hours.
Sunday was interesting. I was worried about spending time with khoos' family. Turns out they are just as warped as my family. Expecting things to be a little sad due to Grandpa's passing, it was the furthest thing from it. When her aunt was asked how she's been, she said "We barbeque'd my dad on Monday" and the entire table laughed. Definitely my kind of people.
Today was rough. The girls had enough of being in the car. We made it to Niagra Falls before they were both screaming and inconsolable. So, instead of a quick pass through, we stopped for a few hours and played tourist. After wearing them out a bit, we get in the car to cross into the U.S. This is never just a quick passing, so we were prepared for the usual. We didn't get the usual. I hand the guy our paperwork, answer a few questions, hand him my keys to check the trunk and the EIGHT ARMED OFFICERS SURROUND THE CAR!!! Basically, they called for the usual escort to bring khoos into the office, which we are used to, but the place was dead and everyone decided to respond to the call. We had a laugh about it, but we had to imagine the person behind us must have freaked the fuck out!
The rest of the ride was just long. D couldn't really settle and spent a lot of the time crying. Then T started crying a lot as well. Finally, they both passed out and slept most of the way home from Binghamton.
I'm fucking exhausted.

I'm going to at least two out of the three games between the Yankees and my White Sox in a few weeks.
