Not a terrible weekend. Saturday morning I dropped khoos and Baby T off at the airport for their flight back to Ottawa.
Then I went to my dad's house to install a new vanity and sink in his bathroom. As with any home improvement project involving Home Depot or Lowes, it was three trips. First vanity he picked out had the drawers in the way of the plumbing. It was a cheap piece of shit, so I couldn't trim around the pipes or the drawers might have collapsed. Return that one, for a much better made one (read: all wood, not particle board). After fitting it into place, I stopped for the evening to go home and shower for TreBlah's Halloween party.
Before the party, I had to pick up Sharona1881 at the train station. On the way there, she got a message from TreBlah that the power transformer at the end of the block blew out and there was no power. We decided that Sonic was a good idea, so we went and stuffed out faces. CHERRY LIMEADE FTMFW!! After food, we headed to the party and got completely twatted.
Sunday I had to go back to my dad's. We had to go back because the builders used 1.5" drain pipes instead of the standard 1.25" bathroom sink drains. FInished that, and he said the kitchen sink drain was corroded. Understatement of the year. I put a wrench on the trap nuts, and the pipes just shattered. I ended up having to replace everything from the sink almost to the wall. Instead of the shitty brass they used, I replaced it all with PVC. It will do until he remodels the kitchen and I can get into the walls.
Fuck. I completely forgot one of the highlights of Saturday night: Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter. If you love really bad, B-movies like Toxic Avenger, etc., this movie is the pinnacle of completely awesome craptasicness. It was filmed in Ottawa and I laughed my ass off every time I recognized a location.
